"Though my wife, Janet, specializes in native Hawaiian plants and trees in our Kula garden, she still manages to keep a lot of mainland flowers in bloom much of the year, as well as Kula's beloved jacaranda trees (natives of Brazil). Therefore, I can almost always find something colorful to paint in the garden or around our koi pond. I hope you enjoy our garden in "Pansies and Poppies."
